I played sports since I was a little kid, football was the main priority though. I eventually got into wrestling and lacrosse, but football seem to be the sport I excelled it. I got offered by 5 schools as I came into the recruiting scene kinda late, but I was blessed with and offer from PC and I committed back in 2022.

Now at PC, I've been blessed enough to get an opportunity to play at a high level, make some plays, and overall be an asset to the team. It hasn't been all sunshine and rainbow however, with adversity and a lot of mental toughness that has been testing me the past few years. But I'm glad to be able to have these life lessons for harder challenges to come.

After college is said and done, I'm hoping to carry my athletic ability into the world of professional wrestling (WWE). I would also be open to playing in a football league like the NFL, UFL, or a league overseas. While the NFL is obviously less likely, it's not impossible so you never know I guess.

When I was younger, my only practice in my faith was when we had a youth group at our local church. To be honest, I never grew in my faith I was stagnate, because I would go to youth group rather for free food or hanging with friends and not really take advantage of the group itself. Which caused me to feel distant as life went on in college

I get my straight edge lifestyle from my Dad. He basically led by example with his philosophy on drugs and alcohol and the negative effects that come with it. Since then, I've essentially adopted it and still live by it.

About a year ago, I started to take my faith with more a serious tone. Starting practices like reading the Bible, watching others interpretations of what the Bible says, and removing myself from habits that were not helping me in any sort of way. I feel more connected than ever, I still struggle with life as many others do as well, but I'm closer to peace within myself.

I started doing video editing and graphic design when I was going into sophomore year of high school. I always loved making just weird videos as a kid and post it on YouTube thinking that's where my career would go lol. But my passion for it has always sprouted at random points of time.

This past year and this year, I'm part of the Russell Program Internship that helps with the physical and digital representation of Presbyterian College. This graphic above was a poster I made for Mens soccer, which is an example of what I'm doing. I don't only do schedule posters, I did things like gamed graphics, promotional graphics, and then some Jumbotron videos for football and basketball.

If I decide to continue my passion and expertise in video editing and graphic design, I would like to start my own social media marketing business. A business that essentially helps small businesses who do have the knowledge of social media to market there business or the knowledge to make visually appealing content that attracts customers/consumers. I could also be interested in taking up a job from a college or professional sports team.

As I head into my future in faith, I'm willing to take the next steps necessary to stay in my faith consistently. That is the main priority for me by any means. No money or glory can be traded for that.

There is some negatives that come with how I live. Because I don't go to parties or social gatherings where alcohol is most present, lots of people just view me as weird or anti-social. Which is fine because why try to impress or rub elbows with people who don't even like you for who you are, right? But there have been a good amount of people who respect and admire me for how I live.

The whole goal is to I've my body the best chance to be in the best shape it can be in, and not be limited by what I do with it. I hope to set an example for my children in the future so they can have the best potential and not be shackled by outside interference.

I'm Dalton and this is my self & identity project. I tried my best to play into the narrative identity topic, leaning into the evolution our current selfs and what we hope to be. I chose 4 different stables that are basically the foundations of my life, that being my faith, athletic career, video editing and graphic design, and straight edge lifestyle.
