I completed a PhD in sustainable urban development, but rather than working in academia which is where I was working at the time, I pursued projects that took me away from the confines of academia. I'm currently working on an ecological vernacular development in Montenegro. 

During my PhD studies, as I previously mentioned, I worked in another University teaching design. It was frustrating for me there, as my research didn't 'chime' with what my colleagues were practicing. This situation led me to rethink my career and consequently I left to pursue other opportunities. Hope this is helpful!!!
