         <title>Santa Sabina - Early Christian Art</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Santa Sabina is a church located on the Aventine Hill in Rome, it was build in the 5th century during the regime of Pope Celestine I. The church was originally created to be used to worship the Roman Christian community. Santa Sabina still remains an important landmark till this day and is open for any visitors who want to experience this beautiful architecture and stunning art history.&nbsp;<br><br>The church was built during the rapid spreading of Christianity throughout the Roman empire. The Aventine Hill was a essential location for the church because a lot of the wealthy and rich residents lived around this part of the city.&nbsp;<br><br>The church had a long nave, supported by columns, and an apse at the back. Those building features are all aspects of early Christian art.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>The Church of Hagia Sophia - Early Byzantine Art</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Church of Hagia Sophia is one of the prime examples of Byzantine art. It was built in the 6th century with the purpose of being a grand cathedral for the Eastern Roman Empire.<br><br>The reason why this church is a prime example of Byzantine art is because of a few reasons:<br>- Stylization, Byzantine is famous for its Stylized design. With bright colors and elaborate decorations, Byzantine art was focused on styling.<br>- The use of gold is also one of the key aspects used in Byzantine art. As you can see in the picture, gold was used to give of this majestic and angelic feeling. The symbolism and the use of gold that was used on the walls, shows great power and wealth.<br><br></div>]]></description>
