We then asked the learners to reflect about their lives beyond iCAN and what challenges they could foresee and how they plan to overcome these. One student shared that iCAN had taught him how to feel and others shared that iCAN was like their home and will find it difficult to be in a different environment. I couldn't help imagine myself in these conditions. During the ceremony, my legs were burning and aching so much but I simply could not rest without listening to the words that were being said and I thought the wreath laying was beautiful. Furthermore, the amount of graves were appalling, I tried to imagine all these people stood at their gravestones and really couldn't fathom the fact that there were graves in other places and skeletons still unfound. 
Reading the messages on the plaques moved me and the bagpipes made everything more special.

That's why I had to bring a smart outfit. This morning, we got in our buses and headed to the cemetery. There were countless headstones of the dead soldiers when we entered. We began to walk around studying all the messages on the headstones. There were names of soldiers, the date they died and little messages from their families. I realised that there were many young people who were barely in their 20s and 30s when they sadly died. It was heartbreaking to know how many young men sacrificed themselves for their nations. 
When the ceremony started, many foreign soldiers played instruments while marching. Although it was hard to hear the music, it was meaningful. When people took turns to lay wreaths, it was very hard to watch. Lots of old men carried their old bodies to place the flowers. This cemetery is where lot's of people are commemorated. From the 2nd day we arrived in Kanchanaburi, we went to many places like museums to learn about WW1 and WW2. 
As soon as we arrived at the cemetery, I was shocked to see the numbers of graves and the ages of people who died. I felt so sorry for these people as they died so young. 
I felt tearful watching people laying wreaths and listening to the music. It was hard to control my emotions and it was scary imagining how people died.
