Yesterday i included an active teaching method by giving the students an opportunity to practice on the 90 degree haircut on their mannequin, but first we read todays class key points like consultation, draping, anylizing the hair tools ( implements ) that were needed for this cut....etc The leaning outcome was awsome the students showed more energy and more excitement. They were able to analyze, create and evaluate. While flipping the classroom the students were able to practice step by step then having them move from one side of the classroom while i showed them step by step.

Blogging would be a great tool used for an enrichment experience being that most of us like being on social media.

If there was one thing i would change for student and faculty interaction at SA1 campus would be a 1 day out of the month we should all pitch in for pizza or tacos; food always bring people together.

If i could change one thing about the supportive campus envirement would be to have more educators workshops it is very educational ,and beneficial.

I have tried many active teaching methods in the classroom. My go to favorite is role play. This allows students to discuss the subject at hand while having a blast. It helps keep students engaged and helps them to think outside of the box.

As I was researching different enrichment activities, I came across the game Two Truths and a Lie. Students will break into groups and come up with 3 statements. Their team members will say which statement is the truth. This is an activity that I feel would be hysterically fun and educational.

As far as our campus interaction between students and faculty are concerned, not having a high population does help us keep a better 1 on 1 relationship with our students and co-workers.

The active teaching methods that I have used and that have worked is using the vocabulary for that module and turned them into a quiz using power point. After doing that I use that power point and split the classroom into 2 teams and they then play a game such as connect 4. Comments on flipping the classroom would be having students working together on a research and then presenting their findings to the class. One enrichment experience that I have actually suggested to students in the past ( which they were interested in doing) would be the making of videos as advertisement. one enrichment tool that I would like to explore with the student s would be the use of padlet. This would help me as an educator to understand my students in a deeper level with out putting the student on the spot.

I begin my story by giving each student an index card. I ask a question / checking for knowledge. The students will write their answer on the card. We have a discussion on the question as a group. I will teach and demo topic, engage students to practice with each other. Students doing the demo and asking questions. Arrange class into groups bring fast learners with new students or with slow learners. Using power point, making a video, and using padlet. We will create a real world project and record it. Faculty and students will interact, making it fun to come to school. I will offer rewards for attendance, gift cards, and celebrate their success. I will bring the support team in every morning for a meeting on our plans for the day. In summary I do, We do, and They do.
