Describe the students at attend Rantoul Township.
RTHS has a diverse population, both racially and socioeconomically. When I was in high school, students were often segregated by race and class in friend groups and classes. General education courses were diverse classes, but honors and AP classes were filled with predominantly white, and middle/upper class students. Many students are often involved in extracurricular activities, both at school and in the community.  (Side note: From observing an AP class, Honors Class, and a general education class, this is still the case.)

What are some community resources that are available?
The park district is the number one resource. After school activities are provided for students at the youth center, in addition to affordable day camp summer programming. A variety of sports and camps are offered through the park district. There is a public health center in town as well, which provides affordable health care to people in need.

What are some of your experiences while growing up and attending Rantoul Township?
I was very involved in classes and extracurriculars. I took honors and AP classes, was involved in the marching band, as well as other clubs and sports. Due to my involvement and the high expectations I was given, I thrived in high school and was academically ready for college.
