This experiment is Blind since the subjects will not know what is being measured or which treatment they are taking. This is not a double blind because the research team knows which treatments the subjects are using and they know what is being measured. It’s important to be a blind study to prevent any lurking variables from affecting the gathered data.

Margin or Error/ Sample Size

The sample size of this study was 200 high school students with a reported past of insomnia. Our margin of error was 7.07. This may seem high and some researchers would not approve of a margin of error this high, the fact that there isn’t a high population of high school students with insomnia caused the sample sized to be smaller. The data still shows to be statistically significant despite this.
