By Eden, Jehvon, Cooper, Priyanka and Thuvarakan

The actions of the characters in Oedipus the King affect every aspect of the story, and their actions are mimicked by those in reality, even now, thousands of years after Oedipus the King was written. Contrary to popular belief, sometimes knowledge is not power, such as when disasters and catastrophes are hidden from the public in media such as news sources to reduce fear in the population, or when learning that someone has been talking behind your back leads to lost friendships and loss of trust.
