My favorite poem was "reperiton" because I was told the same thing by my father. If you repeat something so many times it eventually doesn't mean anything to you. And I understand the part when he talked about how it felt like everything was floating in the air when his parents got divorced. It felt the same way when my dad and my grandma would argue. Than the same way when me had to move, and go to another school

We shouldn't be making a big deal about the little stuff. I know I do this too I make such a big deal about small things which only makes it worse. Just do whatever you had to do and carry on with your life.

I liked the poem " beach body " , It was the opposite of what they both wanted of each others body , which was different versions of the perfect body . It was amazing which first it was funny to a serious moment , because people take it as a laughter to make fun of others which it's serious that they want to make a change on them selfes . It was a poem of there own personal critiques , it's a concept that are derived from the poets own experience .

"Rudy Francisco- "Complainers" is my pick for favorite slam poem because, it expresses how a lot of people in this world complain for the smallest of reasons, how to them, that small, close to meaningless event, ruins the world for them.
Meanwhile, those people feel like the world is crumbling down upon them, like the wrath of God has been unleashed on them for something they only think they did, there are people out there facing real loss, there are people out there bearing real burdens, there are people out there surviving regardless of the scars and pains that life on this world has brought them. And you don't hear them complaining.
The message I'm getting, in a way, is that only the strong survive.
"muscle is the, muscle, muscle is created by repeatedly lifting things that have been designed to weigh us down"- Rudy Francisco.
So, the slam poem by Rudy Francisco, tells me, to be strong. To survive. The complainers are weak and naive, without the capacity to understand true sacrifice and/nor remorse. So if your a complainer. . . STOP

Say that you are not well being, that you don't like your job, or that you are stuck on traffic, say all of that, but remember there's someone who is suffering then you are. And because you are still alive that why you are saying thing like that. enjoy this life because if you don't you will miss a lot of things.

The poem I choose was "Beach Body" because It had comedy and real life thoughts. Both of them were talking about the opposite person how they wanted to be buff or skinny. A poem doesn't always have to be about nature or something sad, it can be a funny poem. My favorite part about the whole poem was where they mention male celebrities and describing who they wanna be.

The poem that i liked the most was "When Love Arrives". I liked this poem because it talks about how when you love somebody its not really about appearence. And love will always think you're beautiful if they really love you. It's very deep and that's also why i like it. i like when they say "Maybe love stays, maybe love can't, maybe love shouldn't. Love arrives exactly when love is supposed to and love leaves exactly when love must". Thats deep and a lot of people can relate.
