Tea, bouillon, chocolate, bread, and cakes are the only things served at a tea party. Different kinds of sandwiches, hot biscuits, crumpets, muffins, sliced cake, and little cakes that a cook or cater plans can be found at a tea party. If anything else is brought than it is no longer a tea party, but a reception of some sort. Orangeade, lemonade, and punch can be found at the end of the table or at a seperate table.

The goal is win all the cards. When a face card is played then, the next players must honor it. You lay so many ordinary cards according to what face card was laid. If all the cards laid are number cards then the one with the face card collects the pile. If not the next person has to play a honor. The cards are picked up by the last person playing a court card. This continues until someone wins the pile. Once you run out of cards you are elimated.
