         <description><![CDATA[<p>My biggest takeaway was the importance of not putting off self-care until there is time for it. If this happens, stress builds up and will eventually lead to burnout. For self-care to be effective and proactive, practices should be done daily. </p>]]></description>

This, in turn, leads to counselors cutting corners, becoming agitated, or losing interest in their profession. School counselors need to be able to recognize and combat these symptoms to serve students to the best of their ability. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Personal Self-Care Strategies</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Self-care is something I have always struggled with. My goal for this term is to incorporate daily walks and talks with my husband to get physical activity in while talking about our day, thoughts, ideas, etc. I also plan on reading novels for myself. I love to read, but lately, I have only been reading between semesters. I hope to see a positive change in my attitude and overall well-being by challenging myself to do these two activities daily.  </p>]]></description>
