This book was soooo good. I loved every word of it. I read the summary of the book when I bought it on Amazon, and at first it was the only book I took interest in. Then a week or so later I read the same summary again and I was like NOOOO! After actually reading the book, I got more in to it and read every word. It had me on the edge of my seat.

I never really liked the whole sci-fi genre, but this book series is AMAZING! I love the action and good description words. I am now obsessed with this trilogy and the movies. This Trilogy has also inspired me to read The Hunger Games.

I have had these books forever, I bought them at a used book store that was going out of business. Everything was on sale and I saw that there were like a million of them and got every single one they had of Sweet Valley High. I think this is the second book I have read in this series and I have have had them for about four years now. I love this book because it has a very interesting choice of describing words because they all seem so old fashioned.

I got this book in Sixth Grade, but finished reading it in Seventh. I loved this book so much, I took it on the plane with me to finish reading it. I left it on that plane (on accident). This book was a good fast read, it was a real page-turner and kept me on my toes. I do recommend this book, although it was a little sad, I still think it is good for just killing time. This book was also a fast read. I think it was a fast read because it was in written in poems, so it didn't take up most of the pages. For example, here's one of the poems:
Because we have a right, my grandfather tells us- we are sitting at his feet and the story tonight is
why people are marching all over the South-
to walk and sit and dream wherever we want.
First they brought us here. Then we worked for free. Then it was 1863, and we were supposed to be free but we weren't.
And that's why people are so mad.
And it's true, we can't turn on the radio without hearing about the marching.
We can't go to downtown Greenville without seeing the teenagers walking into stores, sitting where brown people still aren't allowed to sit and getting carries out, their bodies limp, their faces calm.
This is the way brown people have to fight, my grandfather says. You can't just put your fist up. You have to insist on something gently. Walk toward a thing slowly.
But be ready to die, my grandfather says, for what is right.
Be ready to die, my grandfather says, for everything you believe in.
That was one of the poems. I think this one is very deep and meaningful because it speaks the truth about the world we lived in and the one we still live in today.

This book was so good and went so much in depth. The thing that I liked about the book is that each chapter started off with a ballad Zhoung Khou (a character in the book who happened to die). One thing that I absolutely loved about this book was that it was banned from CHina. I loved reading this book! It was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad that I took the suggestion. This book was about racism and how it it's changed nowadays but also how it still exists. It walks through the story of a young black girl who loses her friend (also black) who gets shot by a cop. It tells how the white cop who shot a young innocent black boy was still respected and didn't get jail time or face any consequence. I loved reading about it and the perspective behind it because I got to know a little more and hear what really happened, although it was a fiction book it seemed so real and it was a fast read because it was that good. This book was...interesting. It was a little confusing and hard to get into at first because the beginning just jumped in and the description of the book didn't help. Towards the end the book it started to get good. That's when all the secrets come out ad everything changes. It was a big book and it took me a couple days to finish it. This book was a different type of genre and book for me. It was a biography and that's a very different genre than I usually read. I found this book in the library and I have heard of Maya Angelou but this was the first book I've read from her, and it was pretty good. I was surprised how detailed it was because she had details and conversations from her mom's life and from when she was 12 years old. I loved this book so much! I know that sounds cliche, but it was so eye opening and just beautiful to read and get different view from the characters were just perfect. Although, at the end of the book I did have some questions about the characters, like where they went, where are they now? Those sort of things. I think there should be like a sequel or maybe just a little part at the end of the book that goes into detail. I thought this was a very cool book to read, it was different for me because I don't really read the genre of autobiographies and stuff like that. Even though it wasn't my style I didn't know that getting into it but with er humor and personality the book was amazing and a very fast read. Amazing. In one word I can describe the entire book. I loved the change of perspectives and the strong female lead played by young Cassie. I have always meant to read this book, but never really got to doing it, and I never like to watch a movie that is based off of a book that I haven't read yet.
