My Most Challenging Task.

By far, the most challenging task I've encountered in math was Quiz # 3 which was on Quadratic Functions. This is because I was just new in Quadratic Functions and I wasn't familiar with every concept for me to confidently answer the quiz. Although I reviewed, I still failed the quiz and got a low score which was 9.5/20. This made me angry because I made a promise to myself that I won't get these types of scores again, and I would try my best to not fail a quiz in math. I dealt with my failure by consulting with my teacher, and practicing more at home so that I can familiarize myself with the concepts and so that I would be confident in answering Quiz #4.

My most common misconception I had in math this term was when I was dealing with the use of the quadratic formula. I would always forget to put the +- sign on my final answer leading me to always having a minus despite my answer being correct. I also had a hard time using the quadratic formula because I wasn't used to perfect squares yet and how to square numbers that were higher than 100. I addressed this misconception by watching tutorials online, and by asking my tutor on how to square root properly and how to use the quadratic formula properly.

Now that the term is coming to an end, I feel like I've completed all my SMART goals because I am now always confident whenever I'm being presented a problem especially when I'm asked to get the zeroes of an equation. I am now also more confident to ask questions whenever I'm having a hard time because now I know that no one will laugh at me even though I ask a very easy question or if I don't get one simple part of the lesson.

By far, the best work I had was my Q#4. This is because this was my first perfect for math this term, and when I received my score I was very happy because I feel that all my hard work finally paid off.
