She went from a proper young lady, to being accused of murder. In my opinion, i think Charlotte changed when she first thought, she would need to use the dagger. Skipping ahead to the meat and potatoes of the story, Jaggery kills Zachariah by beating him and that changes Doyle. She also decided to help during the hurricane and cut her hair unlike before where she might have stayed in her cabin during the hurricane. She was also willing to move into the forecastle with the crew. She has changed from being a proper lady to one of the crew.

The changes Charlotte goes through out the story are her gaining courage and being able to speak up for herself. Charlotte also adapted to the harsh environment on the Seahawk. She also started wearing a sailor's blouse and trousers instead of her dress and gloves and she chopped her long hair to shoulder length hair in order to do her work around the ship.

individual . One of the first changes I realized was that when Charlotte first arrived on the ship she was very proper.But when she got kind of used to the ship she let go of that go. Charlotte isn't  as soft as she was before. Meaning that now she has toughened up.Charlotte also has been more confident now.Those are the changes i got from true confession about Charlotte.
