What else did you know about the Finnish past?
I knew about Simo Häyhä, also known as "White death". He was a finnish sniper and if I remember correctly this guy has the most confirmed sniper kills in the history.

Was there something surprising to you?
For me is surprising how the adding of words (in finnish language) forms new meaning and even whole sentences in one word.

Do you know what the current demographics of the population looks like?
I am not sure, but I guess that majority of people is living in the very south of Finland.

I will admit that until now I didnt heard that Verla even exists. After finding out that its part of UNESCO I was sure that there has to be something special about it. The thing that makes Verla special is that until now it still stays preserved and resist to the modern age. It shows almost untouched piece of Finlands history which is in my opinion very rare nowadays.

It is basically a mill village with paper mill which was now turned into a museum where people can see how the mills were working and what technologies were used there.

Education in Czech

From what I could see in the videos about finnish education I can say that the view on education is quite different in Czech. We are having a loads of homework starting in the 1st grade of elementary school until the college. We are more teached that our primary education should go from ourselfs and our own study at home.
Also I think there is not that much effort to let the kids freely think in the school but the whole class is aimed to prepare for the final exam instead of just learn something new.
I like the idea that in finland there is not that much pressure on the kids because when you have a lot of homeworks and a lot of pressure then the school starts to be just hard work and something annoying for them. Instead of trying to open your mind, find what you like and learn new interesting things.

1. What are the rights about?
The rights are about explaining that every human has right to live in harmony with nature and enjoy the pure beauty of it. It says what is and what is not allowed to do in nature to not feel bound that many rules but to also not be ruining endangered species or behaving bad and damaging the nature.

2. Do you have the same in your home country?
Yes, we have similar rules in czech but they are more aimed to explain how to behave in national parks and in protected landscape areas. Of course this rules should be applied to any visit to nature.
