Classroom Activities:

Word Scramble. The students will be given magnetic letters. The teacher will then give the students a word to spell using their letters. This can be reversed too where the students are given the letters and then have to sound out the word. Students can have limited letters depending on their abilities.

Hidden Words. The teacher will hide different words around the classroom and students will practice sounding them out when they find them. Students can also write the words if needed or be given an extended blending.

At Home Activity:

Practicing Sight Words. Many sight words are irregular so children depend on memorizing them. Students can learn through flash card games. This will make learning irregular easier because they will be able to see the word and know it.
