The warden is the boss of Greenlake and she has red hair and is quite evil. We don’t like the warden because she is a bit too hard on the boys and her personality is quite strange because she really likes herself (she is selfish) and she is evil.

2. They need to tell someone (the staff) if they find something because the warden is searching for something that the boys don’t know about. We already know that they are going to find a big treasure chest.

3. The story takes place in two different time periods so you can understand the story easier and understand why they are digging holes.

Maybe they thinks it’s hard and boring to be there so to make it more fun they pretend to be other people or maybe they don’t want to realise what have happened and want to think they are other people.

3. It is a camp for boys who have done something outlaw. It’s not a real camp were they play, swim and have fun. Instead they have to dig holes outside in the hot sun. They have to dig one hole each day that are five feet deep and five feet across  in every direction.

4. They think he stole sneakers. When he was walking home from school the sneakers was thrown at him and they thought he had stole them.

2: Zero is very shy and people think he is very stupid because he can’t read and he doesn’t like to answer questions but he is actually very smart. He is also very small.
3: Katherine (Kissing Kate) Barlow was a teacher 110 years ago. She was in love whit a boy called Sam. He was killed by the rich kid in town for kissing Kate. Kate was so sad,angry, avenge full and more. She killed the sheriff for not helping when Sam got killed. He just asked for a kiss. So she kisses her victims and that’s why she’s called “Kissing Kate”.
4: Katherine and Sam kissed and someone saw it. 110 years ago it was illegal for someone black to kiss someone white. The person told someone else that Sam had kissed Kate so they killed him. I don’t think it’s okey at all to judge and treat someone else differently based on their skin color, sex or sexuality.
