Tituba influenced young and impressionable teenagers that were being shown black magic. The youth were infamous and when serious matters were pushed, they blamed it back to Tituba. A separate story is about one farmer having issues with another farmer about their lands. Miller had been caught in a 'witch hunt" situation. He was accused as a communist in court and he became a blank to everyone around him after that. Anyone related to or friends with Miller were immediately assumed to be a communist as well.
