In the article "Sometimes, even good people behave badly" Gayle Scherger whom is the author recalls an incident that has effected her local town. A kid with a heat sensitivity issue got off their school bus sweating profusely. Then retold the actions that followed the incident on social media platforms. After explaining the situation that had happened Gayle followed her paragraph with a quote that goes as follows, "At the first call of perceived injustice, hordes of people are ready to jump in with ball bats swinging, hunting down the supposed offender, slap on the scarlet letter, wrap the noose , set fire to the stake and make the crown of thorns" (Scherger, 6A). This quote explains how humans are quick to jump into a situation and strike down the "supposed offender" when we really know nothing about the situation that was happening. This statement could not be more true, you could go anywhere in the world and this type of thing would still happen. As humans we want to be doing the right thing and helping people that have been wronged, but we are so quick to do that that we don't listen or look to the other person that is in the predicament to see their situation.

In the article, "Sometimes, Even Good People Behave Badly," by Gayle Scherger, most parents can relate with the title of this article since if someone harms one of their kids it's like a whole new person just surfaced. Parents are almost the definition of "Sometimes, Even Good People Behave Badly," because of today's world where no one can be trusted 100% without looking at a background check or knowing the person that looks after their child. Scherger says, "We don't have enough information about the incident with Brown to warrant the actions of the rioting crowds.Yet we are so willing to jump on a side and take our stand, long before we know the whole story," (Scherger, 6a). The meaning of this paragraph is that no matter who the offender is everyone of the same race, religion, gender, color are going to say that they did nothing wrong until they see the whole story. This statement has been proven time and time again like when a black guy does something wrong the whole black community goes nuts.

In the article,"Sometimes Even Good People Behave Badly" by Gayle Scherger, the story is about how Sam who has cancer came home sweating from the bus. His parents were angry, because he wasn't aloud to be in heat. Gayle Scherger said "We can't cry foul at every bump in the road". (Scherger 6A) What the author is saying is that people accuse other individuals on false accusations. However you shouldn't accuse someone with out knowing what happened in the first place because in the article the bus driver didn't know about Sam heat condition. So technically it was the parents fault for not telling the bus driver.

In Gayle Scherger's article "Sometimes, even good people behave badly", she states "we are an entitled society". (Scherger, 6A) Scherger talks about the incidents with Brown being shot to death in Ferguson, Missouri and the boy with cancer on too hot of a bus. She says that " what is even more sad is that we start the drama and unrest where it just isnt warrented". This phrase means that we make and cause the drama in this world just for the fun of it and for our entertainment. When she explained the boy with cancer situation, the fingers went from the bus driver to the own mother and father of the own child, knowing their son had troubles with heat. They shouldnt have sent him on a hot bus with no air condition with his problem.

In the article, "Sometimes Even Good People Behave Badly", by Gayle Scherger, there is a boy named Sam that has cancer. One day, he came home and his parents had noticed that he had been sweating. They were agitated by this because Sam was not allowed to be in the heat. She states "at the first call of injustice." (Scherger 6a). This means that people always jump to conclusions before they either find out the real story or they just side with others because it makes them feel popular. People shouldn't base their opinions off of what other people think. They should be able to think for themselves.

In the article, Sometimes, Even Good People Behave Bad by Gayle Scherger, she states that people go crazy on others for doing “something wrong,” without knowing the whole story. Scherger explains that people want to create drama when someone experiences a hardship, so they can get the attention they want and think they deserve. According to Scherger “Wherever we look in history, groups and gangs have made their stand, oftentimes in violent ways” (Scherger 6A). This statement explains that the human race will respond to wrongdoings in an aggressive ways, and retaliate to make themselves feel better. This statement shows that people will do anything to achieve happiness, which I find a little absurd and to needy.3
