Hi all,

We thought it would be nice to have everyone share one (or more) holiday traditions you have.

Tell us all about it and upload a photo!

We started a new tradition a couple of years ago for New Years eve. Each New Years eve everyone will choose the front of a Christmas card that someone sent us and on the other side of the card we will write our wish for the New Year. If we want to share our wish we can, or we can keep it to ourselves. We hang our wishes on a little Christmas tree and keep them on the tree all year so we can read the previous years wishes before we write our new ones.

Our family has an annual christmas tree hunt in Kananaskis. It involves a group of about 20 of us heading into the mountains with sleds, puppies, and kids galore. We find our christmas trees, go sledding, and make chili over a fire while sipping on coffee and baileys (the only time of the year I drink coffee!)

My family holiday tradition hasn't changed! We have to watch a Muppets Christmas Carol - or it just isn't Christmas! We also do a sledding outing until we're too cold and then have hot chocolate by the fireplace!

Because my parents are Eastern European, we celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. When I was a kid, after we had supper, my mom, brother and I would go into the bedroom, while my dad went out to help "Santa" put the presents under the tree. Every year, I looked out the window and was disappointed that I never caught a glimpse of Santa's sleigh.
