I was surprised that the website I liked was limited in built in support.

The tools that can help users to make it easier to read was the "translation tool" and the "reading mode" tool. The translation tool could translate the article into the preferred language of the user. The reading mode tool opened a new tab to the right of the screen (immersive reader) that had different modes of what the reader wants. For example, the user could enlarge the words, change the background color to make it easier on the eyes, space out the wording, and change the font of the article to make it more interesting to read.

Although these two tools can be helpful for a user, it is still not accessible for all users. For example, there was not a tool to define a word automatically. A user would have to open another page to define the word. There was also no access to the article being read out loud.

The microphone seemed to pick up my voice pretty well. I was arm distance from the screen and I spoke in a medium tone.

I remembered to speak punctuation because I use Siri frequently. As you can see in the document, I tried to use quotes to quote a quote, but it didn't seem to work. I don't know if I used the right punctuation setting, but it normally works when I say "end quote" when I say Siri.

As you can see to the left side, under the microphone, it gives suggestions of what you can say to the microphone. "You can say "period" and "new line." I thought this was informational if users have not used voice typing before and are discovering new ways to figure it out. It also gives different translations so a user can do this in their own language.

Immersive reader is an accessible to multiple users.

The user is able to zoom in on the text or zoom out on the text. They can also change the colors to make it lighter on the eyes as well as changing the fonts. Changing the fonts and colors not only is easy on the eyes, but it can also spike interest in reading an article.

Another way that the immersive reader is accessible is that it can translate the text into other languages and that it can read aloud. As you can see in the screenshot, if you click on a certain word, it'll give you the definition and show pictures to the user to give them an idea of what it looks like and what it is.

The user can also click on making the text syllables and show adjectives, nouns, pronouns, and verbs.

Using Mercury Reader took away all the distracting ads and icons. This can be helpful for users that are easier on the eyes and helped focus on the actual contents.
