Much testing had taken place nationwide for the Y2K bug and Lucinda had been busy with pre-testing for the bug; luckily all fears were unfounded, probably because Lucinda had tested it so well.

In the early 2000's we had to vacate the building when the fire alarm went off. Unfortunately it was snowing at the time, and we were all standing outside freezing for ages. We were marched to the building next door for shelter (by one of the Deputy Directors who was formally in the army John Deacon!). I later found out that it was my fault that the fire alarm had gone off because I switched on a radiator in one of the glass meeting rooms - I didn't realise it would cause such commotion!
