This week’s science lesson is a tribute to the Ewok’s catapult that helped save the rebels! Use any household or nature materials to build a catapult. Use the links below for additional support. Your catapult can be as simple or sophisticated as you choose. However, be sure to explain how one or more of Newton’s Laws of Motion applies to your catapult. You can explain in a video or writing. 

When completed, submit a picture or video of your catapult in action! There will be a prize winner announced for the “Coolest Catapult” during next class period.

Note: Popsicle sticks are recommended for building your catapult, but you can also build it with sticks from your backyard. If you don’t have rubber bands, ask someone in your house to borrow their hair ties. Most importantly, have fun!
