THE CAUSES OF BAD BICYCLE SERVICES IN UMP

First of all, many of the bicycles in the Sport complex are not in good condition result from the UMP students. Because of the bicycle services, the UMP students cannot use the bicycles safely. That is not only about the bicycles in the Sport Complex, but the bicycles that they had sell also have the same problem. Furthermore, many of technical problems also happened and this will give burden to students. For instance, bicycles’ brakes are not functioning well and tires are punctured. All of this problems affects the students’ safety. Nowadays, most of them especially male university students complained about the quality of the bicycles that they newly bought and its already out of services. They felt very unsatisfied because the cost of the bicycles are about five thousands ringgit not equal with the services provided. They use the bicycles for two months only, the bicycles cannot being used already and need to repair. This will need a lot of money. Moreover, most of the bicycles are not suitable for female university students. The bicycles provided are too high, sit of the bicycles are also loose and rusted. Due to that problems, they feel uncomfortable to use it. As a result, bicycles services should be improve and make it in good condition for the sake of the UMP students.

The second main effect would be the quantity of bicycle provided is not enough to UMP students. The number of students in UMP can be approximately almost 6000 and above but the number of bicycles provided is in small quantity. Students need to take their turn to rent the bicycles and it will waste their time. They need to wait for a long time to rent the bicycle. Lack of bicycle can lead to discrimination towards juniors as seniors know the best and suitable time to rent the bicycle. Lack of exercise is caused by the quantity of bicycle provided not enough. Students like to do some exercises during evening such as cycling. So,when the quantity of bicycles provided is not enough, some of them has nothing to do. When more bicycles is provided, students will not stay at room only. In short, bicycle services is important in this campus, so sport complex should take an action to overcome this problems among students in UMP.

Last but not least, the cause is UMP’s student cannot riding bicycle on Saturday and Sunday because of sport centre are closed that day. Many of student complain about this dissatisfied rule. For example, UMP’s student cannot just stay in their hostel all weekend ,so they decide to hang out with their friend. Due this problem, student could not fulfil their intention to gather with their friend by riding bicycle and also could not spend their leisure time by doing some physical exercise. Furthermore, Saturday and Sunday are the days that UMP’s student waiting for doing some outdoor activities. For example, by riding a bicycle, student can release their tension after a week of studying. Some of student think that by enjoying the day could give them new spirit and also a day without having stress. UMP’s student also could not go anywhere due to not have any bicycle on that day. As they had nothing to do, they could not discover the beautiful or strategic places in UMP college since it large area. Unlucky, for student who live far away from their hometown could not do some activities over than student who live near to UMP. It is very good thing if the sport centre are not closed on Saturday and Sunday because it lead to students doing a benefit things.

In conclusion, bicycle has become a needed thing to UMP’s students or other college because it very easy for student toride on it and very suit for people who are study. Bicycle are not good condition in UMP would give bad impression among student and quantity of bicycle provided are not enough will become worst thing. This mishap happen and student are becoming less interested in riding a bicycle added with they cannot riding a bicycle on Saturday and Sunday. Bicycle is very important in this campus. How can students continues their lifewithout bicycle as their companies. The high management of this campus supposedly take prompt actions regarding to this issue so that students would not lost their interested with bicycle.

UMP was established as a public university on 16 February 2002.After a few years,many facilities provided include sport complex.There are many facilities provided such as bicycles,court badminton and others.According to a survey in UMP,most students complain about the bicycle services in this campus.How would students survive in UMP if the bicycle services is too bad ? The purpose of this essay is to discuss about the three effects of bad bicycle services to UMP students which is the condition of the bicycle,the quantity of the bicycle provided and the days when sport complex is open.
