It is the tallest <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skyscraper">building</a> in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Hemisphere">Western Hemisphere</a>, and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_the_world#Tallest_buildings_in_the_world">sixth-tallest in the world</a>. The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supertall_structure">supertall structure</a> has the same name as the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tenants_in_One_World_Trade_Center">North Tower</a> of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Trade_Center_(1973%E2%80%932001)">original World Trade Center</a>, which was completely destroyed in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks">terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001</a>.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

In 1792 Hoban submitted a plan for the presidential mansion and subsequently got the commission to build the White House. There has been much controversy surrounding the true identity of the architect behind the tower – the design originally attributed to artist Bonnano Pisano but studies have also implicated architect Diotisalvi.</div>]]></description>
