Hello!
I live in Xanthi and work in the Second Chance School of the town.
I studied English Language and Literature in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In the past I worked in private institutions and later I owned a private institution (frontistirio).
From 2005 to 2009 I successfully completed four modules. However, because of personal reasons I had to stop my studies just before writing my dissertation. In March 2021 I applied to the HOU in order to finish my studies and I hope I will be able to do so.
Most of my students belong to the Muslim minority of Xanthi, so I think it would be interesting to relate my experience to the literature of the module.
I hope my job responsibilities will not make my study schedule difficult.

Background:
I live in Athens and I have studied English language and literature in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. I have worked for six months as a substitute teacher in secondary education. Most of my students were Greeks but there were some immigrants as well.

Expectations: I expect from this module to assist me in order to expand my knowledge of different cultures, both for my teaching and also in cases in which I need to help a student that might not be incorporated in the classroom due to their cultural background

Constraints: I might have limited time once I start working again, considering the fact that I have another module as well this semester.

I studied English language and literature and French language and literature at the Kapodistrian University of Athens and this is my third master's degree. I speak seven foreign languages and I am a keen lifelong learner,always in the middle of something new! I own two educational Centers and I teach English and French .I am married and have two children ,two students at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki . I have a rich cultural background and I am bilingual [french] I have always wanted to take such a course as "it is in my blood" and in my everyday life. I have avery busy schedule as I work for 12 hours a day but I derive such pleasure from learning that I think that Iwill never stop !

Background Information:
I'm Katerina. I have studied Crop Science as well as English Language and Literature in Athens. I'm from Athens and I live most time of the year in Athens as I also move to the countryside for work. I have been teaching English for 15 years, mainly in the context of techincal and vocational institutes and one on one or group private tutoring. I also work as an agronomist about half of the year.

Expectations, Constraints:
I have selected the course because I find the field intriguing as I have attended a similar course in the past. I expect it to be useful in the ways I will have to handle a multicultural environment in classroom in the future.
I currently have much time for studying but I'm worried it might not like this in the future due to increased workload both for the job as well as for the other module in the programme.
I feel I can't have propositions for now but I may have during the next sessions.

Background:
I live in Katerini, northern Greece. I am a graduate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Philosophy, Department of English Language and Literature. After my graduation I taught English in a private school for three consecutive years and ever since I have been working as a private tutor of both children and adults. I also attended a seminar on Special Education 2 years ago.

Expectations:
Last year I decided to attend the current postgraduate programme to expand my knowledge on the field and improve as a teacher.

Constraints:
Time, mostly due to job responsibilities

My name is Georgia Stavropoulou. I was born and raised in Thessaloniki where I also studied English Language and Literature in Aristotle University. My home and family are in Lamia but I am currently working in south Evia in a public primary school as a permanent teacher. I have been teaching in primary schools since 2005 and before that i worked as a teacher in private schools of non-formal education and as a private tutor.

My expectations from this programme is to gain further knowledge on the field of teaching English and be as better as a teacher I possibly could.

Constraints for me would be the fact that as a working mother and wife who also needs to move from place of work to place of family makes it even more difficult to cope with the demands of the programme, which are quite tight.
