Day is interseting because he will never give up on his family. He will do whatever it takes to save them from the terrible plague. He also cares about others like his friend Tess. They have been working together since the beginning of the plague. Day wants to get cures, help people, and disobey the Republic. June on the other hand wants revenge for her brothers death, and wants to find Day. There was so much suspence and foreshadowing you couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
