The theme that is being developed in "The Story of Keesh" is, work smarter not harder. According to the text it states, "But it was the mystery of Keesh's marvelous hunting that took chief place in all their minds. And one day Ugh-Gluk taxed him with witchcraft to his face." The council accused Keesh of using supernatural powers to hunt the bear, but the truth was different. Later Keesh explains his technique, "The bear swallows the little round ball, the blubber melts, the whalebone with its sharp ends stands out straight, the bear gets sick, and when the bear is very sick, why, you kill him with a spear." The truth was disclosed, the intelligence of Keesh has astonished many. Overall, that's how the theme of the story is being developed through Keesh's cleverness and not hard work.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to not judge a book by it's cover. This is because the council though that since Keesh was a little boy, he couldn't hunt for himself, but Keesh proved them wrong and came back unscathed. He was able to hunt for almost the whole village, bringing back a she-bear and two half grown cubs. One detail it states in the text is "Let him go; it will teach him a lesson," the hunters said. "And he will come back shortly, and he will be meek and soft of speech in the days to follow." This shows that the council, including the hunters underestimated Keesh and thought that when he came back he would never talk back to the council again. Furthermore, it states "Early next morning, however, Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech." This shows that Keesh proved the council wrong and was able to come back uninjured with fresh-killed meat on his shoulders. Overall, the theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to not judge a book by it's cover because you never know what kind of capabilities a person can have. Since Keesh was able to prove the council that it didn't matter if he was a child he was still able to hunt for almost the whole village, and still come back uninjured.

The theme developed in "The Story Of Keesh" Is if you believe in yourself you can accomplish anything. When Keesh approached the council about the unfair distribution of meat and they didn't listen to him, keesh decided to fix the problem himself. Nobody believed that Keesh, just a 13 year old boy would be able to hunt let alone by himself. How ever that didn't affect Keesh, he was determined to come back successful. Keesh was also determined to complete the mission his father died trying to do. Despite people laughing at Keesh when he left to go hunt, he came back very successful. Keesh had killed 1 she-bear and 2 half grown cubs. None of this would have been possible if Keesh didn't believe in himself.

The theme that is developed in "Story Of Keesh" is that you should not judge a book by its cover. In the story, when Keesh said he will hunt his own meat and never return to the council, in paragraph 15 the men reacted, "Jeers and scornful laughter followed him out of the igloo, but his jaw was set and he went his way, looking neither to right nor left." This shows the council doubted that Keesh could hunt, and even laughed at him for saying he will. Then, later in paragraph 20 it states, "Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech." This shows how Keesh proved the council wrong by bringing back fresh bear meat for the village. The council judged him by his age, thinking a 13 year old has no ability to hunt, but they were wrong. In conclusion, the theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to not judge a book by its cover.

The theme that was was developed in "the Story of Keesh" is to always be friends with people because you never know when you will need them in the future. I know this because in paragraph 13 it states " They ordered him to go to bed, threatened that he should have no meat at all, and promised him sore beatings for his presumption.". This means that the elders disrespect Keesh badly and not fairly. In paragraph 57 it states "And curiosity was so strong on the men that the whole council, Klosh-Kwan to the fore rose up and went to the igloo of Keesh. He was eating but he received them with respect and seated them according to their rank. Ikeega was proud and embarrassed by turns, but Keesh was quite composed". This means that the council was the one who came to Keesh with respect but they were treating him so bad in the beginning. In conclusion this evidence supports why to always be friends with people because you never know when you will need them in the future.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to not expect help from others. According to the text, the author writes "He being but a boy, and his mother only a woman, they, too, were swiftly forgotten, and ere long came to live in the meanest of all the igloos". This shows that Keesh did not receive help from anyone after his father's death and that he had to live for himself and his mother. Additionally, Keesh states "I, too, his son shall go and hunt the meat that I eat. And be it known, now, that the division of that which I kill shall be fair". This shows that he was not getting enough meat from the council, so he had to hunt for fresh meat so that him and his village could eat enough without starving. Therefore, the theme that is developed in the story of Keesh is to not except help when you need it.

The theme that is developed in "The Story Of Keesh" is to not judge a book by its cover and keep on doing what you want to do and don't let people stop from doing that. The trait that Keesh shows throughout the story is Brave. According to the story, states" Shall the babies in arms tell us men the things we shall do". This piece of evidence shows that the council in the story did not listen or believe what Keesh would tell them because he is a kid. Moreover, According to the article states" The hunters said. " And he will come back shortly, and he will be meek and soft of speech in the days to follow". This piece of evidence shows that they think that Keesh would come back to them because he is not skilled or brave enough to hunt a bear. In conclusion, the theme that is developed in "The Story Of Keesh" is to not judge a book by its cover.

The theme that was developed in "The story of Keesh" is that, greatness is achieved to hard work. This shown by how in the text it explains, "Keesh, froe the poorest igloo in the village, rose to power and place over them all" which shows how Keesh started at the lowest and worked to the top. This is is also shown by how the text states, "Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly. Across jhis shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat.". This shows keesh's hard work that helpped Keesh rise above the g=igloos providing equal meat for everyone. This is how the theme of "The story of Keesh" is that, is that, greatness is achieved to hard work.

The theme developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to never judge a book by its cover. I believe this is true because in the text, it states "Put the child out!" "Set him off to bed!" This shows that the council is trying to set Keesh to bed just because he is a child and they believe he cannot achieve what they can. As well as this, it states, "the bear came toward us, and after him came Keesh, very much unafraid." This shows that Keesh is being brave, which blew the minds of the council because they thought he was weak and they didn't believe that he could hunt. He came back with a ton of meat he shared with the villagers, which proved the council all wrong. In conclusion, the theme developed in "The Story of Keesh" is to never judge a book by its cover, because, just like the council, it can blow your mind as to how the other person really is.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh is Survival. I say this because In the text it states that keesh's father died when he was a young boy. He had no siblings it was only him and his mom so he had to take on a lot of responsibilities at a young age. He was also treated poorly and unfairly by the council because he was asking for better food. but they believed that keesh did not have the right to ask anything of them because he did not have a grey beard. So keesh had to start hunting himself fighting many dangerous animals putting his life on the line just for better food. so in conclusion I believe the theme developed in "The Story of Keesh" is survival.

The theme is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is the ability to push yourself through difficult situations and plan your next move in advance. The text states," Then did the bear grow angry, and rise up on his hind legs, and growl. But Keesh walked right up to the bear". This evidence shows that Keesh bares no fear to the threat in front of him because he foresees his victory. Additionally, the text states," I have but divised a means whereby I may kill the ice-bear with ease, that is all. It be headcraft, not witchcraft". This evidence shows that Keesh knew he couldn't take down the animal by himself so he thought of means to weaken the animal and go in for the kill. All in all, this how the theme that was developed in "The Story of Keesh" is the ability to push yourself through difficult situations and plan your next move in advance.

The theme developed in "The story of Keesh" is that nor your age or status matters, but your inspiration and creativity. According to the text, "But arrived at the spot, they found not only the kill, which they had doubted, but that Keesh had quartered the beasts in true hunter fashion, and removed the entrails". The men were shocked and confused, they were curious on how this 13-yearold boy caught a bear AND prepared it by himself. As stated by the text "Keesh continued to make off over the ice to a safe distance. But the bear gave him no notice, being occupied with the misfortune the little round balls had wrought within him". This shows how Keesh used a different hunting strategy than the other hunters, that he had took action with alone.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is that you should not let what people tell you limit your capable of. I would say this because even though the elders turned him away with his request due to his age, he still went out into the wilderness, and did not let the words of the elders get the best of him. For example, in the text it states, "Na! Na!" the men cried. "Put the child out!" "Send him off to bed!" "He is no man that he should talk to men with grey beards." This shows how the elders provoked Keesh, thinking that he had no say in how things worked. The text also states, "Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefully. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech." This shows that even though the elders provoked him, completely ignoring his request, he did not let their words throw him off course, and he went out into the wilderness and hunted for him and his people.

This is because Keesh ciomposed a plan alone and he hutned theb ears successfully.. According to the text it states, "and curiosity was so strong among the council. Kolosh Kwan: Is there witchcraft in it" This shows thgat because Keesh worked hard and alone, people became curious to how he did this all alone after no one helped him. Furthermore, Keesh provided so much meat which also seemed weird. Afditonally thre text says," Because Keesh excorsied headcraft and not witchcraft, he rose fromn the meanest igloo to the head of the village".RThis shows because Keesh worked hard intelligently with no help he achieved success since he thought his way through to solveh is own problem.

The council told Keesh a young boy can't go hunting by himself and he shouldn't be talking to men with grey beards in that tone.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh'' is not to underestimate people. When you underestimate someone that can make them push harder to achieve anything, their dreams, or what they set their mind to. For example in the story of Keesh the council was underestimating Keesh’s ability to hunt by himself as a 13 year old. But regardless of how much they underestimated keesh he never let that affect him he used that as a fuel to push harder to succeed. Another example is when Keesh was trying to fulfill his dad's legacy and everyone was laughing at him and underestimating him. He never gives up because he knows that he’s going to succeed.

According to paragraph 18, it states, "Let him go; it will teach him a lesson, the hunters said. And he will come back shortly, and he will be meek and soft of speech in the days to follow." This shows that the council believed that Keesh would come back unsuccessful and he will be embarrassed to speak to them the way he did again. Another example is in paragraph 20 when it states, " Early the next morning, however, Keesh strode into the village. But he came not shamefacedly. Across his shoulders he bore a burden of fresh-killed meat. And there was importance in his step and arrogance in his speech." This explains that Keesh proved the council wrong and came back from hunting successfully. The council thought that because of his young age he could not accomplish what they could as hunters. They assumed that Keesh was foolish because of the way he spoke to the council and pointed out their flaws. This shows that the theme in "The Story of Keesh" is to not underestimate someone.

One theme that is developed in the "Story of Keesh" is to not always depend on others because you can achieve success. This is because Keesh composed a plan alone and he hunted the bears successfully. According to the text it states, "and curiosity was so strong among the council. Kolosh Kwan : Is there witchcraft in it{Hunter thinking there is witchcraft}" This shows that because Keesh worked hard and alone, people became curious as to how he did this all alone after no one helped him. Furthermore, Keesh provided so much meat which also seemed weird. Additionally, the text says," Because Keesh exorcised head craft and not witchcraft, he rose from the meanest igloo to the head of the village".This shows because Keesh worked hard intelligently with no help he achieved success since he thought his way through to solve his problem.

The theme that is developed in "The Story of Keesh" is sacrifice and bravery. I believe this because Keesh's father sacrificed himself to feed the village, but after a while the village started to forget him. The theme is also bravery because Keesh went on to kill a mother bear which not even the hunting group could do, and Keesh did it all by himself. I also think the theme is to never judge someone without getting to know them, because the elder council judged Keesh without knowing he was capable of doing these things nobody else in the village has ever done. A piece of evidence to shows that the Theme is sacrifice is "The cather of Keesh had been a very brave man, but he had met his death in a time of famine, when he sought to save the lives of his people by taking the life of a great polar bear. In his eagerness he came to close grapples with the bear, and his bones were crushed; but the bear had much meat on him and people were saved. Keesh was his only son, and Keesh lived alone with his mother." Therefore, Keesh's father had sacrificed himself in order to save the people of the village. Lastly, The last piece of evidence to show that the Theme of the story is to never judge someone before you get to know them, "The men could not bring themselves but to believe that the boy (Keesh), single-handed, had accomplished so great a marvel." This shows that the elder council underestimated Keesh and they should never judge people before they get to know them. In conclusion, the theme is to never judge someone before you get to know them and sacrifice.
