Stanley is to blame because Stanley abused the people of the congo and let his workers get sick and didn't care about anything else besides fame and glory. Henry Morton Stanley is to blame for the Congo colonization due to his role in King Leopold 2 of Belgium's establishment of the Congo colonization. He helped the region's colonization by establishing commercial stations and paving the way for trade along the Congo river.
