         <description><![CDATA[<div>Throughout the Odyssey Odysseus has displayed he is a hero because he continues to fight to get back home and also shows heroic traits of intelligence, bravery, quick thinking, and cleverness.<br>Odysseus when he faced the Suitors he displayed bravery Telemachus cries "How can two men do battle with a houseful in their prime?&nbsp; For I must tell you this it is no affair of ten or even twice ten men, but scores, throngs of men (Homer 1095).&nbsp; Although the odds are stacked against them Odysseus is not afraid he makes a plan to defeat the suitors which shows his bravery and intelligence,&nbsp; "round up all the armor, lances, gear of war left in our hall, and stow the lot away. (Homer 1135).<br><br>Odysseus shows quick thinking and cleverness in blinding the cyclops Polyphemus. "Cyclops, you ask my honorable name? Remember the gift you promised me, and I shall tell you.  My name is Nohbdy (Homer 313) . Polyphemus, why do you cry so sore in the starry night?  You will not let us sleep.  Sure no man's driving off your flock? No man has tricked you, ruined you? Out of the cave the mammoth Polyphemus roared and answered: Nohbdy's tricked me, Nohbdy's ruined me! To this rough shout they made the sage reply: Ah well, if nobody has played you foul there in your lonely bed (Homer 353).</div>]]></description>
