A collection of songs, poems, and stories for young children published by Wynstones Press.... Mother earth was sitting in her cozy red room under the roots of the fig tree. Her fingers were busy weaving in and out they were weaving an Autumn blanket for children-and Autumn blanket to keep them warm when the days grew cold. 

Mẹ trái đất đang ngồi trong căn phòng màu đỏ ấm cúng dưới gốc cây sung. Những ngón tay của Mẹ đang bận rộn dệt một cái chăn mùa thu cho trẻ em – Mùa thu trời se lạnh và cái chăn mùa thu sẽ giữ cho các bé trong ngày lạnh. 

In and out her fingers went. In and out, an Autumn blanket to keep out the cold. Mother Earth wove many things into her blanket: brown and green grasses, leaves of all colors, corn husks, white woolly clouds...In and out, an Autumn blanket to keep out the cold. 

Đôi tay bà đưa thoăn thoắt,. Trong và ngoài, dệt một cái chăn mùa thu để giữ ấm cho trẻ em. Mẹ Trái đất dệt nhiều thứ vào chăn: cỏ màu nâu và cỏ lá xanh, lá với nhiều màu sắc, vỏ ngô, những đám mây len trắng ... Phía trên và phía dưới, một cái chăn mùa thu để giữ ấm.

After many days of work the weaving was finished and Mother Earth put it down. She steeled into her chair and fell asleep. 

Sau nhiều ngày làm việc, tấm chăn đã được dệt xong và mẹ Trái đất đặt chăn xuống. Bà nằm xuống ghế và ngủ thiếp đi In the night sky the stars were twinkling. They looked through the roots of the fig tree where Mother Earth was sleeping. They saw the Autumn blanket with its green and brown grasses, its golden corn husks, its white woolly clouds, and leaves of all colors--all woven together, in and out to keep out the cold. 

Trong bầu trời đêm những vì sao lấp lánh. Họ nhìn qua gốc rễ cây sung, nơi Mẹ Trái Đất đang ngủ. Họ nhìn thấy cái chăn mùa thu với cỏ màu xanh lá cây và nâu, vỏ ngô vàng, những đám mây len trắng, và lá tất cả các màu sắc - tất cả được dệt lẫn nhau, trên và dưới để tránh lạnh. 

"A warm blanket indeed," the stars agreed. "But where are the lights to guide the earth children through the winter nights? Winter will be dark. let us give them some of our light. "Một cái chăn ấm áp," các ngôi sao đồng ý. "Nhưng còn ánh sáng để dẫn đường cho các em bé ở trái đất trong đêm tối đâu? Mùa đông sẽ là bóng tối.Chúng ta hãy cho họ một chút ánh sáng của chúng ta đi” Các ngôi sao nói Mother Earth was dreaming of twinkling stars, and when she awoke she found beams of starlight woven into her Autumn blanket. Mẹ Trái đất mơ thấy những vì sao lấp lánh, và khi bà thức dậy, bà thấy ánh sáng của bầu trời chiếu vào tấm chăn mùa thu của bà 

Mother Earth smiled and rose from her chair. Now the Autumn blanket was ready. It had both warmth and light for her children to wear through the cold and through the dark. And she took the blanket and spread it out over the land.... Mẹ Đất mỉm cười và đứng dậy. Bây giờ cái chăn mùa thu đã sẵn sàng. Cái chăn có cả sự ấm áp và ánh sáng để giữ ấm và dẫn đường trong đếm tối cho các em bé. Và Mẹ lấy tấm chăn ra và trải nó ra trên mặt đất ....
