Henry was in a box for 27 hours it was only 3 ft. long, 2 ft. 8 in. deep, and not even 2 ft. wide. After being in a box for 350 miles James Miller Mckim accepted the delivery. When Henry got out of the box he was officially freed from slavery, until congress passed the Fugitive Slave act of 1850 that states that slaves be returned to their masters.
