Higher rates of depression are commonly found in LEDCs (low economically developed countries).
Adding on, HEDC's (high economically developed countries) that have stricter governments have a higher rate of diagnosed clinical depression. Adding on, HEDC's have common trends of bullying, stress from work as well as family issues.

The reliability of this source can be questioned due to the graph only showing the percentage of diagnosed clinically depressed and does not take into consideration of non diagnosed depressed people. The addition of this data would affect the graph drastically affect the graph by increasing each percentage.

The graph looks at evaluating the deaths (in millions) caused by certain selected infectious diseases in Sub Saharan Africa, South East Asia, Europe, Middle East, Americas, East Asia and Global amounts. Each disease is allocated a different colour and represented in a bar graph. Diseases evaluated are Neglected tropical diseases, diarrhoea, vaccine preventable diseases, malaria, tuberculosis, and AIDS.

The disease analysed were ones can be spread through contact, contamination of water and air, ones that do not have enough substantial research about them and diseases that can be prevented.

The X-axis presents the region in which the disease has affected and the Y axis represents the number of people (in millions) that have died due to respective diseases.

Sub Saharan Africa is the most affected region with regards to all diseases. AIDS and Diarrhoea have affected the region the most with approximately 1600 million deaths and 1000 million deaths respectively.

Europe and the Americas are the least affected region with less than 100 million deaths each.

South and Southeast Asia is mainly exposed to Diarrhoea, while East Asia/Pacific was mainly victim to Tuberculosis.

Patterns In The Graph

The graph shows the trend of the Infectious diseases. Sub-Sharan Africa was exposed to the highest rate of infectious disease, as the country is under-developed and economically unstable, this means that the regions do not have the right types of medicines or vaccines to eradicate the disease. Another factor is that the region is densely populated, hence, allowing more people to get exposed to the disease and thus causing the death rate to rise. Another aspect of the disease spreading through Africa is the amount of people that got vaccinated; this could be due to the lack of education provided to the people.
Regions like Europe are highly economically developed thus showing in the graph that they are immune to many diseases due to the amount of people that have got vaccines which allows it to reduce the disease in the region.
