Hearing the German spoken was useful for my pronunciation while I was also able to pick up on vocab I am familiar with from lessons and the use of grammar by the characters. I find these particularly hard to remember and this was very helpful in displaying them in a way I can remember. I found that most of the vocabulary was too advanced but I could pick up on the meaning of a lot of sentences. I had to look up a lot of vocabulary as it was mostly specific to topics I haven't studied but was able to infer topics and vocabulary by articles that were also reported in England. I know the story quite well so was able to follow the plot and infer new vocabulary along the way. I kept a list of recurring vocabulary I didn't know. However I had to refer back to the English book to understand the names of the mythical creatures and potions.
