Many of us have similar goals and similar concerns for working with our students even though we are in different places. It feels good to have the network of support.

We loved sharing with others and focusing on specific areas with peers. It was less isolating and a great opportunity to share resources.

Backwards Design

We appreciated the the backwards design approach. We were familiar with it as educators so it felt natural. It also makes sense for this work; to have models of syllabi and understand where we were headed was very helpful. We wouldn't change this aspect of the COP.

Having time to work with others.

February/March seemed to be a lot, and was not necessarily balanced.

We are 50/50. One of us loves the backward design process and the other struggles with it. Working on objectives first is difficult for one of us; it is easier to work on the activities and skills first (for one of us)

We have learned to become more knowledgeable in all areas surrounding CRSE. We have learned to become more analytical in seeing where things fit and what works and doesn't work.

The benefits include the community of practitioners who make us feel comfortable in the work we are doing. Luca's support has been at such a high level and exceeded our expectations.

CRSE vs. Common Ground

I think going forward with a new group, I think time will need to be spent on understanding how to incorporate all three areas of the framework: CRSE, Mental Health & Trauma.
