My advice, for matriculants from my point of view

So from my point of view I'd advice Grade 12 pupils to study smart, and not hard.I've been in matric, and I know exactly how it feels. It's excruciatingly painful. In the most simplest form I'd define it as just plain torture. The workload,is so,so,sooooooo heavy that one can't even keep up with the phase.Teachers give task left right, and centre, you can't even breathe. It almost feels like the workload is "smothering" you.To a certain extent it feels like the workload is swallowing you,and it feels like you're unendlessly drowning in school work, and task(assignments). So yes I'd strongly advice matriculants to study smart, and to make use of a certain technique to manage their "time schedules ,and study roasters"They should also set time aside for their "social, personal, and spiritual lives.

Being stressful will always come with being a student. Every student has that worry at the back of their minds "DID I STUDY ENOUGH FOR THAT TEST" or "ARE MY RESULTS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE ACCEPTED BY A UNIVERSITY".

And stress is not always a bad thing because stress can push us to do certain things like study for an exam, but when stress is coupled with worry and anxiety that's when it starts to become a problem. That's when we start to neglect ourselves and our well beings.

The advice I would give to anymore in grade 12 and is currently feeling stressed is firstly let all worries about the things that have passed go. Do not continue to stress about the test you wrote yesterday because it is done and out of your hands. All you can do is try and take it one day at a time. study a little everyday so that you do not feel pressured the night before. As silly as it sounds - do breathing exercises, they are a good way to calm you so that you clear you mind and start thinking rationally.

The most important thing is if you feel like this is just too much for you - speak to someone you trust.
