This image depicts a red herring as the conversation started was about stealing and how it is wrong to do so. The conversation is then changed to distract by talking about baseball and how you steal bases in baseball so it must be okay. This article has a few different examples, one of them being people who drowned falling into a pool. People fall into pools quite often however not everyone who falls into a pool drowns.
