This might look like students bringing a product (portfolio, concept map, notes, website, self directed project) to present and you can scribe the points raised in the conversation in conjunction with the product. Sometimes, I have even documented the prompting questions I have asked to push students to dig deeper (on top of point form notes of their answer) to help me make a more informed decision when determining the final grade. The challenge to doing this effectively is to have a strong understanding of the curriculum you are including in the rubric so you are documenting the most relevant answers.
