Their father was a professional baller and inspires them to be great like he was. Josh and Jordan (the two brothers) begin to drift apart when Jordan gets a girlfriend.

Ok, ok, ok get off my back-MOM! All right, a connection is some kind of tie or relationship between two or more beings. They can be physical or blood or spiritual. Connections can be positive or negative. An example of a positive connection could be a mother and her son. She is connected to him and has a tie to him. An example of a negative connection could be a bully and a 'nobody'; the bully harms and overall sends 'bad vibes' out to the 'nobody' and I can imagine the 'nobody' doesn't act all buddy-buddy either. Is that better?

Ok. Good. Well obviously the twins Josh and Jordan have an extremely strong positive connection from the start. But soon, Jordan falls for a girl and shatters their connection. Josh becomes extremely jealous, not of Jordan, but of his girlfriend. He's upset because he never gets to spend time with his bro anymore. His anger gets out of hand when Josh unconsciously breaks Jordan's nose. This action totally obliterates whatever relationship they used to have. Jordan gives Josh the silent treatment, which is a one-way negative connection. How was that?

I hate you. Anywho, Josh also has a strong tie with his dad Chuck 'Da Man' Bell. Josh has idolized him for his entire life and even wishes to follow in his father's footsteps. When Josh finds out his dad is sick, he practically acts like he is already dead, he first approaches the situation with anger and sorrow. He then realizes he needs to cherish his remaining days with his father. They deepen their connection when they realize he doesn't have much time left.

This later develops into a positive connection once S.T finds out how Josh feels. She sympathizes with Josh and lets the brothers bond again.
