It is a farm tool with at least one heavy blade that breaks the soil and creates a small ditch to sow seeds. The plow dug a whole for the seeds to go in. The moldboard, also an invention of the Agricultural Revolution, goes along with the plow. It is a wedge formed by the curved part of a steel plow blade.
