I don't think Vola owes the man something for killing him. It was war. She is just trying to protect her country or side in the war. Also, if he was in the war, he should know that he might die. If he never wanted to die and be safe, he wouldn't join the war. Also many other lives were lost i the war and this man isn't special and doesn't deserve any extra treatment. This is why Vola doesn't need to do something for the man she killed.
-Alex G.

I don't think Vola owes that man anything. She didn't mean to kill him. It is war and in War someone will kill at least on person. I know it is Hard to think about especially for her. But its not your fault when you are in the War things happen and some are bad and some are good. In this case it isn't good but she can't go back to change it. In the war everyone's life is on the line. Not just his but many other people's to. Vola doesn't owe him anything i don't think so any way. So i don't think Vola owes him anything. All Vola needs to do is live a long happy life.
-Katelyn.S

If I was Vola I wouldn't do all that for him. I would feel guilty and feel bad for his family. The man chose to be in war and that is what could happen. War is kill or be killed. She was protecting her country and her family. I do not blame Vola for killing the man.
-Brian E.

I don't think that Vola owes the man anything because she was in the war and in the war sometimes you don't have a choice. Vola was just trying to be nice to the man after his death but it is not necessary. War can be tough and not a good experience. I bet it is even worse when you are the one doing it instead of the one watching. This memory will probably haunt Vola for the rest on her life.
-Emma W.
