Hi there beautiful people!!
My name is Lily Bargetto & I am very excited to be starting this journey with each & every one of you.
I am originally from Santa Cruz, CA - a beautiful beach town that unfortunately has that toxic, small town curse. That being said, I currently live in Santa Rosa, CA after graduating from Sonoma State University with my BA in Psychology & a minor in Anthropology in 2019.
I have faced some adverse experiences over the course of my childhood through young adulthood & those experiences are truly what bring me here to Saybrook to continue working on my professional, educational, and personal goals.
I have a heightened interest working with youth who may have experienced trauma or who are learning how to navigate their mental health and/or learning disabilities.
I look forward to getting to know you!

A few things that I truly love to spend my time doing are spending quality time with my long term boyfriend, all of my beautiful pets, my few best of friends, and my younger brothers and cousins.
I have been with my partner for six years so far and we love to explore food festivals, go to concerts, and relax while watching our favorite tv shows.
I have three fur babies, two cats named Crash & Tawna, and one puppy named Mochi that is new to the family! I love to spend time training & bonding with my pup and find it to be a great distraction from the stressors of daily life. We all also love to cuddle up and watch Disney movies or some true crime.
My circle of friends has dwindled over the years, but the few that have stuck around have had such a great and positive impact on my life I am unsure as to where I would be without them. And the same goes for my brothers and cousins. Although they are younger, they have been my anchors during the toughest of times and have motivated me to be the best version of myself, each and every day.

Since first utilizing Ted Talks in my first year of undergrad, I absolutely fell in love. This love has evolved to include many podcasts, and now I always find myself listening to a video or podcast while doing daily chores, driving, or just hanging out. I decided to include some of my favorites just because!

I am looking forward to Lifespan Development because I feel as though it is going to be a great way to build upon the foundation that I have built for myself within my undergrad. More specifically, I am looking forward to applying theories of development directly to the practices of counseling, as that is a perspective I have not thought of in my previous studies. With so many different, and sometimes conflicting theories of development, it is going to be very interesting to delve deeper into those and see how they may work together or clash. I hope to resonate with certain applications of developmental theories to carry over into my identity as a counselor.
