I started doing plays at 8 years old, and continued all the way until my freshman year of college. I was on a "full ride" (works a little differently with the arts) theatre scholarship to a college in Oklahoma. Some things happened and I had to come back to Kansas, but, I am just explaining this so you can grasp my passion and involvement with drama / theatre. My senior year I had the opportunity to write a play, a one act. I have always been on stage, so I was actually excited to do something behind the scenes. I wrote a one act play titled 'If words were bruises' and as the play evolves, more handprints are put upon her back. This is to represent physically how words hurt because it is hard to see the mental part of it.
