Have you ever had to spend half of your lunch waiting in line to get your food at the canteen? Well, my friends I will make that problem disappear. I will make another building specifically for the canteen to make sure you don't have to wait long. To make things even better I will increase the amount of staff working in the new canteen. Double production, Quicker lines, and better food.

This activity consisted us on working with a partner and assessing what their lunch times were like and from this we recorded both positives and negatives .

after which were were to get all the negatives and find solutions to make their lunch time better.

At first, we decided to make groups of 3 and then discussed problems in our area which in our case was in Gilles plains and was health and wellbeing.

Throughout this assessment, I have gotten a thorough understanding of how and in what sort of ways we can brainstorm ideas for our problem. Moreover to delve deeper into the problem itself to find the root causes and to also make simple solutions to those problems to help with the bigger problem itself.

After doing research and forming groups last term. Me and my group members started to work on getting together the base of our pitch for a small presentation we will do in front of the class in the future.

IDEA 1

At first, we decided to make a small wind turbine that harnessed the wind to produce energy and plan to send this to Tonga.

Tonga is a small isolated island in the south-east of Fiji. The main source of power for the people of Tonga is fossil fuels.

As shown by the information above tonga heavily relies on fossil fuels to give them power to run their communities.

The main reason we wanted to send small portable wind turbines was to help them go full clean energy. To do this we decided that we must start small.

We did some planning and research on if our product will be viable and if transportation of this good would cause problems or not. We also deduced that since Tonga receives a lot of wind, we thought that small wind turbines will allow them to produce a descent amount of energy to run their houses on.

In this week we still continued on with our pitch up until week 4. this week though we did encounter some problems and we did change our idea quit a bit. yet still we managed to get research done on our new topic.

At first, we were going to go with just making a portable wind turbine that people could assemble by themselves and could supply a descent amount of energy too.

However, with careful research, we discovered that our idea had a bunch of flaws. which range from :

size
transportation
availability
production
inefficiency(main problem)

These were mainly due to the size and bulkiness of having a mini wind turbine with us. Furthermore, size and transportation fees will further stop production as mass transportation of the goods will cost more than what they are sold for.

Major issue

one major issue we encountered was efficiency. through out making the pitch we discovered that tong was a island which is covered in sunlight and since they receive so much of it using solar panels would be far more efficient and with cost for materials and shipping it far outweigh the pros from the cons and was the superiors choice for our product to be.

From this, we also decided to expand and broaden our product to a wide range of customers/buyers. Focusing on one island isn't going to solve much of a problem in renewable energy.

Since our solar panels are module and are 25%cheaper than your conventional solar pannel it is a far better investment for those who want to start off with renewable energy and know that they won't be wasting thousand of dollars on solar pannels

Pros about our solar panels

- You can take multiple of our solar panels and connect them from end to end to increase efficiency.
Portable
- Our solar panels are small roughly being about a allowing you to put them in any space. For instance a balcony on an apartment and if u don't have much space in your back yar deather, Your front garden or even a front porch.
- and since ours is comes with a small box with all the parts you can take it with you camping or any other place you want to travel even putting it on your electric vehicle to charge while on a long road trip.
Cheap
- Made from aluminum and other cheap yet strong materials size also allows to cut down on wasted materials allowing it to be cheaper. (25% than a regular solar pannel)
efficient
- It produces a great 5KW of power per solar panel being able to decently power your house and other appliances you may have it plugged into.
