I had not known about drug abuse in the Victorean Era although I was aware of the subject in the present era due to my prior participation in MUN conferences. It was obvious that drugs had adverse effects but the scale was unexpected. After the lecture I felt very positive, because I was going to share all the knowledge I gained with the ones who really need it. The parts which I liked were the parts when Ma'am was interacting with us. Interaction made the lecture very easy to understand. The humor appart from the seriousness was the part I enjoyed the most. I had firm ideas against drug abuse and the lecture now has made them even tougher. So, I knew what is drug addiction and drug abuse. Although, I never knew about its causes and consequences. In the guest lecture, I also got to know about the drug abuse in Victorian Era. The thing which I like in the guest lecture was the Guest was asking questions related to our lecture, so everybody was attentive. The guest lecture was entertaining and knowledge gaining experience for me. I even got to know that consuming overdose of medicine is also harmful. Medicines are also drugs which could result into addiction. I used to take medicines for small things but after the guest lecture, I have changed my ideas and declined the use of medicines for small purposes. In the guest lecture there was all the things covered into it, and it was one of the best guest lecture which I have attended. The guest lecture consist of all the elements which make a guest lecture interesting and knowledgeable.

Before the guest lecture I did not know about drugs in Victoria era. After the guest lecture I felt good as my knowledge about drugs and Victoria era was incresed. The best part I liked was the inventions in Victoria era and the connection between Victoria era and drugs. This can help me the spread awareness about drugs in the society. I didn't knew much about it's consequences on the society. Why do people consume drugs?How it's consumption would affect society? Were few questions of which I came to know the answers through the lecture. The guest lecture was quite interesting. I came to know few facts about drugs. I liked the part when we were taught things with several real-life examples because it gave us a crystal clear view about the topic. I even enjoyed the part when we gave our views on the topic. I knew that even medicines can be dangerous if overdose and may cause addiction. Before the lecture through my prior knowledge I thought that strict legal action must be taken against drug addicts  but after the lecture I now know that they should be sent to Rehabilitation centre or should be counseled. The lecture was very well delievered. It will help us to make people aware on drug addiction. An animated movie could have been shown to create more enthusiasm amongst students on the topic, otherwise the lecture comprised all the beneficial points.

I disliked the thing that you are teaching the names of the drugs to a child of 10 class from that the child can be influenced.I liked the part where ma'am explained us that what a drug can harm us psychologically and physically . I dis liked the fact that in Victorian era drug was allowed . I changed my view that only then person can be violent if he or she doesn't gets the drug dose on time . Unit Title: The bizarre thinking of the human mind

We have had a brief understanding about this topic as we have done it in our individual science subjects. We have had a chapter related to drugs in biology. The chapter gave us insights to the types of existing drugs and their effect on our body. Further, we also knew briefly about medicinal chemistry as we had done an overview on it in our chemistry classes. While I knew some of the things told in the guest lecture, I also absorbed a lot of new information in it. I liked the connection made by our presenter between each slide; it made a comprehendible link while switching between each topic. The part of the presentation where the presenter was explaining about drugs and its effects fascinated and the discussion we had about curing this addiction was captivating, the methodology behind how she was presenting it fascinated me and maintained my interest whilst the presentation. 

While there was new information thrown at us, none of my knowledge regarding my previous concepts was violated. The changed idea I have about drugs is, that not all of them are bad if taken supervised. They will benefit your body if taken the way meant. Rest of the knowledge discussed during the presentation had minimal impact on my previous ideas of the topic. A well-made presentation and lecture, the links between the slides made the presentation more sensible. The slide structure of the presentation could have been better as there were long sentences in some places. It would have been better with bullet points, for better grasp on what is being discussed. Otherwise, the whole presentation was applaudable.

Drugs are actually good, but only when you over consume them they can cause fatal diseases which can become very tough to cure.

The guest lecture was very much relatable to our lives. Teenagers these days influenced into consuming drugs without realising that that can be harmful. The parts picture found the most interesting work was how gradually, development in the field of chemistry since the Victorian Era lead to production of drug abuse. This was very bizarre and something I never knew of thought of.

Finally when the lecture cessated, I was quite proud of myself that I had already decided to not get into any of these illegal activities and let my parents or family members down. Stress never forced me into drugs as I was always comfortable with sharing my problems with my parents and friends.

The lecture was really very helpful for each of the student present there. I think that the causes and consequences were conveyed extremely well and there were no flaws. Even our lecturer kept constant communication with the audience which made us feel involved and interested.

This will definitely  help us in spreading awareness on this topic. Overall the lecture was informative and it couldn't get any better.

Before the lecture I knew about drug addiction and drug abuse as we get to know about this in our daily life. Although I didn't knew about the drug addiction in Victorian era. This thing was new for me and also interesting. I knew that we have effects but the scale which I got to know in lecture was unexpected. Last week, we attended a guest lecture on drug use and abuse. Before this session, the picture of drugs was a blur in my mind. First I thought that drugs are something harmful for any human body and can destroy the person physically and psychologically.  but after attending this session, it was pretty clear that drugs can be helpful to cure any disease if taken wisely, however drug addiction destroys the victim physically as well as physiologically.

i enjoyed each and every part of guest lecture from historical advancements till present is it was conducted in interesting and interacting method.

My mindset about drugs is a bit changed as now I could able to understand the thin line between drug use and drug abuse. Also as our service activity , we should have some prior knowledge about the topic to make an impactful affect on the target audience while spreading awareness.

According to me, this was a knowledge packed lecture and it was just perfect as the lecturer covered almost everything including drug names, causes, consequences, problem faced by victims, problem faced by their family, social impacts on victim and his family and some solutions to this problem. I was feeling very impressive after the lecture as it was interesting, educational and also very interactive at the same time. I had planned to portray the knowledge gained through the lecture to the people who require it so that they will jot indulge into the wrong activites. The lecture was made immensely interactive anf also indulging as the teacher was giving references and asking questions almost everytime. I had not thought anytime about promoting drugs and now through the lecture i have also learned the histroy and the detailed effects. The lecture was very good and i do not suggest to have a reparation in the same.

Before attending the lecture, I just knew about the drugs as in general and the effects of in to a human body. The guest lecture was very informative and interesting and the best part of it was the way it was presented and connected by the Victorian era. I particularly liked the facts related to drugs and it effects when those were discussed because they were pretty interesting yet funny. When I attended the entire lecture my perspective that drugs are the things which spoils one's life but this was wrong, those are also the life saver many times.
If I was a teacher and would made to pass comments on the improvement on the guest lecture so I would say that it was well organised and needed no more improvement because I felt it was perfect for the students to understand.
