Week 2 - 18.09.17- Task 2: Replicate Formal Elements (Unit 1: 1.1-1.2)

•Know
- My understanding of the main formal elements is quite good. I know that the formal elements are texture, colour, shape and line. My most difficult formal element to pick up on would have to be texture has it is a challenge getting the right photo when walking around the college has i had to wait until the sun came out to get the right effects and colour on the image.

•Do
- When starting task 2 i had to get four images one from each formal element taken by a photographer then i had to go out and recreate them photos in my own way by taking three photos for each element. It was hard but i was confident by getting ideas from the photographers photos I had chosen. I had used my Phone to take the photos for the formal elements by going around the college looking for bright colours and oddly shaped objects.

•Show
- I presented my work on Adobe Spark (As shown below) with my chosen photo from my photographer and my three images I had taken below with a brief comparison on how i got ideas and how I had compared the chosen image to mine.
Adobe Spark Link Here: https://spark.adobe.com/page/LEgdDKHwvSnky/

•Improve
-My final outcomes on my work I believe I did very well on my presentation and how it all planned out. It was a struggle getting the right photos for each element but it looked very smart and well organised once finished. If i had to improve anything it would be my texture photos as they was very difficult to take and i believe i could of got better images if i had more time.

Week 4 - 2.10.17 - Task 4 : Plan Shoot (Unit 1: 1.2)

•Know
-i have learnt a lot this week such as i have learnt the understanding of a mind map and how they work to keep ideas in a way of not forgetting the, also how to make your own mind map on power point. I have been showed how to fill out a proposal template and post it on to my Production padlet.

•Do
When starting task 4 i had to make a mind map for each of the formal element then i had to go start planning my photos that i will be taking in my own way by taking more then ten photos for each element. It was hard trying to plan out what photos i will be taking but by getting ideas from the photographers photos I had chosen it made it a bit easier to get ideas.

•Show
i had made my mind map presentation on power point but the task i am extremely pleased with my Proposal template sheet (located at the bottom) because it was quite challenging putting in a brief of what i was going to do next week when taking my photos and how i will take them photos and if i will have a budget or not.

•Improve
when looking back over my work i would improve my mind map by going over everything i have done and adding more to the map making it stand out knowing i have loads of ideas that could benefit my final outcome on my photos that i am taking next week for my final project.

Week 5 - 9.10.17 - Task 5 Final shoot & presentation (Unit 2: 1.2)

•Know
During week 5 I have learn't how to make contact sheets on adobe Photoshop and how to add my final images to the contact sheet. I went around the college taking my final 40 images for my four formal elements. Also at the beginning of the week I developed my shoot plan sheets by writing up my 10 images for each formal elements and describing what props I would be using and how the lighting will effect the way my photos will come out.

•Do
I completed my task this week by adding the new skills I had learn't such as editing on Photoshop and adding brightness and contrast to my final images making them more effected and that they will stand out much more especially when it comes to one of the formal elements texture. This week as well I also made a power point when showing my presentation and also doing a voice note conversation with pupils in my class to get the understanding of what the questions would be in the presentation next week.

•Show
To get all my final images on one sheet I made a contact sheet which i am pleased with how it came out because it was quite challenging putting a contact sheet together with all my final images and even choosing my final images out of the 10 I took for each elements but I narrowed it down for 3 each for the 4 elements which my teacher said was okay so I am happy with the final images i have picked to present.

•Improve
When looking back over my work i believe i did very well but if I had to improve a few things it would be maybe going in to more depth when taking my pictures and defiantly planning my shoots on my shoot plans but I am confident and ready for my presentation next week and ready to show my final images for the four elements.
