Trade was always successful because of the cast system of roads and highways. However, majority of the empire were farmers. In the later years of the empire, the economy was in shambles because farmers could no longer sustain the empire's need for food. Over cultivation and inflation made it hard for farmers to have successful harvests, this led farmers to work on Roman latifundia's. Arches can be found almost everywhere. Medicine and math found in Rome are also found in modern life.
