They don’t. First of all, this doesn’t attend the biggest issue. The mega prison could be a great solution if it was handled in an organized and well way. Meaning that if it had a good system and a good reclusion of prisoners it would be a good option to solve the problem and to stop violence in the country. On the other her hand, this  is a corruption move and gives even more power to the gang since it gives them the chance of negotiation and makes them believe they have the power and can “fool” authority. This makes the problem imposible to solve and just puts a blindfold on society. 

2. MS-13 is comprised of teenage kids who are recruited while in school or in their neighbourhoods and then are forced into a life of crime. What, if anything, can be done, in your opinion, to prevent young kids from being recruited in MS-13 or other street gangs?

I believe security is really important for this, getting kidnapped es mostly happens when no one is around but if they are recruited in other ways I think one of the best options would be to inform children of this gang and what they do, so they know how dangerous it really is, because most of the children that are recruited are there because they feel there is no other way out and It is the only option they have so if they learn and know how dangerous this gang is and that gives a lot of trouble to the country and makes more insecurity, they can be less likely to join. An other way would be to stop this fan, but it is really difficult because of the amount of power they hold. 

3.  Explain the "balloon effect" of drug policy and why you think it may be a good way to describe how government policies affect the illicit drug trade.
The ballon effect of drug policy consists of drug cartels moving around to other parts where police isn’t very strict with arrests dealing with drug selling and if police were to be more strict with the area they are in, they would just move somewhere else. It is a good way to describe how governments affect drug trade because we can see how in most of the countries, this cartels are always in control and are very difficult to catch according to the government, but this just happens because they aren’t really covering everything or trying to kill the problem from the root, which would be to end this cartels, they are just looking to be better for the news. It affects because it makes the cartels move faster and spread way faster from place to place and from city to city. 

4. The "War on Drugs" has had a devastating effect on women, in general. Although some women have reached the highest levels in the illicit drug trade, the vast majority are at the lower levels and are involved in coca leaf production or in transporting small shipments of illegal drugs. In recent years, the rates of femicide and the incarceration of women has increased dramatically. Explain briefly how this has contributed to the rising levels of migration of families from the Northern Triangle to North America, that is, Mexico, the USA, and Canada.  

It is a fact that woman don’t choose to work in these type of illegal stuff. This often happens because they are kidnapped and forced of braise they don’t have other option because the system has failed them and they need to survive  and make money any way they can. This also makes them more insecure while they live, they can be kidnapped or killed in any moment. This is why migration has been rising. This 3 countries are safer than South America. Mexico is the way to get to the United States so some people can stay there, the United States is a very strict country regarding migration policies ans cañada is a very safe country so they can prefer to go there. They just want to scape and to be able to have better opportunities and a better future, having a better job offer, life expectancy, stable job or household for them and their families, and the best and sometimes only option, is to scape from their country.
