Problem Connections: Now in the U.S. many people are still stuck in poverty, many programs are also helping people in poverty. Then people in poverty didn't have the internet. So instead people like Jacob A. Riis would take pictures of tenements and slums. These connect because it showed how they did what they could to try and resolve the problem.

Reformers Connections: Now in the U.S. there are famous reformers making websites so they can raise money so they can donate to programs. Then they didn't have websites but instead took photos and showed them to wealthier citizens. These connect because this helped people donate towards building safer homes for them.

Solution Connections: Now in the U.S. there are people raising money and have created job opportunities. Then they made settlement houses and raised money. These connect because they were doing things to help people in poverty build self-esteem and get back on there feet.
