There are often people that come to the games just to see us. This shows just how important the marching band is to the community and that it has the ability to bring the community together. Grand Ledge is a very large district and has a lot of rural areas. A lot of the community has a bunch of land and horses. Island Park is a really popular park where people often go to hang out and decompress after a long day. It holds some of the history of Grand Ledge, there was a roller coaster at one point. When I first moved here 6 years ago this whole area behind my house used to be open fields. This shows the growth of the community and the community having to accept new people. For example, after a sports game many of the teams would all go to Corner Cone together to celebrate. I've really connected with many people here and have many great memories that connect me to the community.
